My name is Diana. I am a postgraduate student at the University of Law in Birmingham. I am studying part-time at weekends, which means that I have plenty of time to explore other areas of my life. I am also a Legal Assistant at a City Firm, providing me with great insight into the world of Solicitors, clients and reading, lots and lots of reading.
I am here to support you in your journey, be it to become a solicitor or a barrister.
Before we dive in the logistics of why I felt the need to write a blog, you may want to find out more about the human behind the scene. Here you have three facts about me and my life:
1. I am an LLB graduate and an LLM LPC student. Before you ask, I am not a genius, but I do enjoy law and I try to do my best to understand it. Aren’t we all?
2. I am a time-management freak. I schedule tick to do lists, plan and arrange stuff ages before it will happen. The downside of this is that I have days where not everything goes as planned.
3. I work as a part-time cocktail bartender. This means that I will be able to provide legal advice while preparing you a martini sometimes in the future.
My blog will talk about the struggle of being an international student far away from home whilst studying law and enjoying life. I have also prepared a number of useful legal tips and tricks and step by step guides, which I hope will be beneficial to you all.
Why starting a blog? Why not?! My goal is to destroy the myth that a law student has no social life and/or is boring.
Please do feel free to message me for any enquiries or support.
DISCLAIMER: I must say that I do not provide legal advice and nothing written on this blog will be representative of anyone else than me. This means that the Firm I am working at, the University I am studying at or the people I have lunch with only influence my journey, not my perspective. Every product I mention has been tested by myself and unless specified, not sponsored.
